Our Middle School Team wrapped up their season on Wednesday the 11th with the annual Little Brown Jug Race versus Harbor Springs! It was a great celebration of friendship with a competitive race, and fun had by all!

Chris Dettmer
Head Coach
Chris is a native of Ann Arbor, MI, where he grew up shredding the nearly 225 vertical feet of Mount Brighton. From this small hill, his love for skiing grew huge. Chris has spent the last 15 years working as a ski instructor and race coach for the Northern Michigan Ski Academy, the Boyne Flyers, and is currently the head coach for Team Boyne’s race program at the Highland’s. This will be Chris’s fourth year with the Petoskey Middle School race team, and his first year as head coach. Chris brings a love for going fast around the gates, and years of knowledge and experience to help our Middle School athletes build their skills in a fun and productive environment. When not coaching racers are teaching skiing, Coach Chris likes to relive his glory days, hitting the gates on multiple race league nights.
